Andrew Daniel Davenport

Andrew Daniel Davenport passed away on June 23, 2024, in Suwanee, GA. He was born to Danny and Charla Davenport on October 26, 1979, in Atlanta, GA.  Andrew was a graduate of Lassiter High School, class of 1998, and went on to pursue an Associate's Degree in Chemistry from Kennesaw State University in 2003.  Andrew went on to further his education and his passion for technology at Herzing University, where he earned his Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science in 2011. Andrew was incredibly intelligent and could tackle even the most complicated repairs on any form of technology.

Andrew's sisters, Kristy (Denny) Durick, and Ashley (Burch) Glover, remember him as a kind, empathetic and loving brother, with a deep commitment to their family.  Andrew was always present at weekly family dinners, and he could find a way to make anyone around him laugh. He was a devoted and fun uncle to his three nieces, and he was also an accomplished drummer, avid concert goer, and a voracious reader.  As the son of a music executive, Andrew found deep meaning in all forms of music, and he enjoyed connecting with both family and friends through this common bond.

His wonderful laugh and generous spirit extended beyond his family. Andrew was well-known among many in his sober-living community as a dependable friend - a genuine soul who could listen to anyone and encourage others in their own journeys.  He was often called upon to help mediate conflicts and help residents adjust to the community.  While not without his own challenges, Andrew was always determined that his own transparency about his weaknesses could help others. His kindness and graciousness to those around him stemmed from his own experiences, and his life was one that reflected deep grace.

Andrew leaves a legacy of love, laughter, and perseverance. He is survived by his devoted parents, Danny and Charla; his beloved sisters, Kristy and Ashley; and his cherished nieces:  Kelsey Durick (25), Kerry Anne Durick (22), and Ginny Glover (9).

Services to honor Andrew's life will be held on August 23, at 11:00 a.m.at Mt. Bethel Church, 4385 Lower Roswell Rd, Marietta, GA, with a light reception immediately to follow.  Speakers at the service will include Pastor Jody Ray of Mt. Bethel, close friend Brett Broadrick, and his sister, Ashley Glover. Musician Jimi Cravity is to lead worship.

Andrew's presence will be profoundly missed, but his family and friends will continue a legacy of empathy and grace in his honor.
