Betty Jo Mayo

Betty Jo Mayo, 82 of Olive Branch, MS left this world to continue her life with God on Tuesday, June 7, 2022 while living with her son in Milton, GA. Born on January 31, 1940 in Lorena TX to Willie and Jewell Young, she had 5 sisters; Francis, Dorothy, Margaret, Lilly and Cynthia. Betty was retired from JC Penny and worked in the family business, Mayo Fence. As a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Olive Branch, Betty loved and was loved by her Gleaners Sunday School Class. In addition to her children and other relatives, these women became her family. She was predeceased by her husband of 35 years John M Mayo who passed in 1998 and is survived by her daughter Debra Sue Howell (Larry) and son Jack Mayo (Donna) and had 4 grandchildren; Tarah Foster, Carey Carpenter, Blake Mayo and Samantha Jahn and 4 great grandchildren; Logan, Brayden, Ryan and Britney. A celebration of life will be held at First Baptist Church of Olive Branch, Olive Branch, MS on June 20, 2022. Visitation will be 10:00 AM with a Service to follow at 11:00AM.
