David Earl Jones

David Earl Jones, age 89 went to heaven on October 4th, 2024.  He will be greatly missed.

He was born on February 25, 1935 to the late Jerry & Hattie Jones.

In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his wife Paula (Polly) Brady Jones; four brothers, John, JM, Tom and LeBron; six sisters, Trudy, Jean, Bill, Odean and Shasta.

David was proud to be a Mason and donated annually.  He retired from Bowman Transportation as a truck driver and then went back to work for Rosedale as a 2-man team with his son, Bryan.

He enjoyed his Bluegrass music and attended many festivals, making many friends that he cared for and talked about often.  David loved old cars as well as nature. He enjoyed simply sitting on the porch watching birds and reminiscing the good ole days.

He leaves behind one sister, Betty Ruth; two sons, Tony Alan Jones and David "Bryan" Jones (Tina); two grandchildren, Kaylan Starr Jones and Brittany Danielle Jones; four great grandsons, Gavin, Gauge, Graham and Kayden and many nieces and nephews.
