Eleanor Wylene Sullivan

Eleanor Wylene Mills Sullivan age 87 of Adairsville, Georgia, passed away Wednesday February 16, 2022. She was born June 10, 1934 in Cherokee County, Georgia, daughter of Jack “Harold” and Mollie Hardin Mills. She was a member of the Adairsville Church of God. Eleanor was a true animal lover and took care of every stray that happened by. Her love of God’s creation was expressed in a lot of her poetry. She wrote about what she saw and felt and often explained the source of the inspiration for the particular poem. Her family is blessed to have a collection of her writings that give a small glint into her soulful nature. Eleanor was preceded in death by her parents, her husband James E. Sullivan, her son Vance Michael Sullivan, sisters Margaret Davis, Mildred Mathison, Linda Holbert, brother Zedick Mills, nephew Chris Holbert, and grandnephew Zegan Mills. She is survived by sister Opal Powers, brother Zenick Mills, nieces Connie (Glen) VanHouten, Daphne (Jon) Lewallen, Vickie Autry, Rita Patten, Shelia Jones, Trishia (Calvin) Silvers, nephews Nick Mills, Wade Mills, Blake (Laura) Holbert, Terry (Phyllis) Tidwell, Eddie (Shelia) Mills, and a number of grandnieces and grandnephews. To honor her wishes her body was cremated and no public services will be held.
