Harrison Dewitt Crook

Harrison Dewitt Crook, passed away October 13, 2020 in Lawrenceville, Georgia. Harrison was born in Atlanta, Georgia on October 12, 1982, the son of Thomas and Cathy (Combs) Crook.  Harrison was preceded in death by his parents, his older brother Thomas Thurl Crook, his grandmother Sara Crook, his grandmother Evelyn Russell, and his grandpa Thurl Combs.  Harrison was a devoted father to his five children. They were all very special to him and he loved them dearly. He is survived by his children Hadden, Harlee, Holdyn, the children he had with his first wife Tara Dollar. His younger children Liam, and Lucas that he shared with his friend Celeste Morales. He is survived by his two older sisters Chrystal McFadden and Kerri Crook. By his grandparents Harry and Geraldine Crook. He also leaves behind several nieces and nephews, uncles Mike Crook, Dana Crook, Jim (Teresa) Kinnison, and John Kinnison. Aunts Kelli (David) Moulden, Vicki (Dennis) Crowe and Rayma Combs.  Harrison grew up in Georgia, spending time enjoying the mountains and the lake. He was a Boy Scout and a baseball player as a kid. He enjoyed riding dirt bikes and four wheelers in the mountains, and family camping trips around Elijah GA.  He learned to hunt from his grandpa Thurl in Ohio, were Harrison spent a lot of his summers growing up and visiting family.  Harrison was a licensed plumber, and worked around the greater Atlanta area, a self proclaimed jack of all trades. The job he loved the most was the time he spent working at Stone Mountain. There he felt close to nature and loved spending time just enjoying the scenery. He was a country boy at heart, and he will be greatly missed by his family and friends both in Georgia and Ohio.  The family will hold a celebration of life at a later date and time, when we can all come together and celebrate the entire family.  “Every life is noted and is cherished, and nothing loved is ever lost or perished.” Everyone leaves behind something tangible and beautiful, and Harrison left us his most precious gift, his children. And they will live on knowing that he left each of them a little part of himself, and he will live on through them.
