Henry Eugene Peace Jr. 

Henry Eugene Peace, Jr., age 84, a native of Birmingham, Alabama, and resident of Fairhope, Alabama, passed away on January 29, 2023.

He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Jerry Ann Edwards Peace, with whom they shared 52 years of marriage. He is survived by his three sons, Douglas, Scott (Karen), and Andrew (Mary Crotty), and six grandchildren, Meredith, Leo, Charlotte, Nicholas, Savannah, and Aly.

Henry graduated from Woodlawn High School in Birmingham in 1956. He attended Auburn University, earning a degree in Industrial Management. Early in his career, he worked for Huyck Corporation. During this time, he was activated to serve in the National Guard for a year. Henry then spent 18 years working as an Industrial Engineer at Norton Abrasives after Huyck.

In his retirement, Henry loved to travel with his wife, and they were members of Baldwin Senior Travelers. Over the years, he enjoyed trips to Panama City Beach with his family. He also loved watching his Auburn Tigers, especially during winning seasons.

The family requests that Henry’s loved ones join them in celebrating his life on Sunday, February 19, 2023, from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m., at his home, 152 Club Drive, Fairhope, Alabama.

In place of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in Henry’s memory to a charity of one’s choice.
