Iris June Harris

Iris “June” Harris (Bradshaw), 83 of Rocky Face, GA passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 4th, 2024, following a long battle with Alzheimer’s.  She went to join her late husband, A.L. Harris, in their heavenly home. For the past 2 ½ yrs. June lived with her son and daughter-in-law, Daniel and Carla Harris, who have lovingly cared for her and were by her side until her final moment.

June was born on June 26th, 1940, to Carl Bradshaw and Violet Bradshaw in Rockingham County, VA.  She married the love of her life, A.L. Harris, in 1959 and was happily married for 62 years. Together they had 3 boys… Nicholas Harris, Daniel Harris and Jason Harris and 5 grandchildren …Nic Harris Jr., Maegan Harris Bryant, Matthew Harris, Sarah Harris and Faith Harris.  June is survived by her children, grandchildren, and sister’s Jean Belch, Sharon Brooks.

June was preceded in death by her husband, A.L. Harris. Parent’s, Carl and Violet Bradshaw. Sister’s, Loraine, Gay, and Rosemary. Brother’s Caroll, Carl Jr., Dennie, and Eddie Ray.

June loved her Savior, the Lord Jesus and was a faithful Christian. She supported her husband in that faith and was his devoted companion as he ministered for over 40 years with the Church of God. It gives us great comfort to know she is reunited with her soulmate.

A private memorial service will be held at the family’s home to be decided at a later date.
