James Maurice Miles was born October 11, 1972 in Atlanta, Georgia. He has always lived in the Atlanta area. He attended Dresden Elementary School and Sequoyah High School. In 1993, he began working for Anderson McGriff Lumber Company in their door shop. Since that time, he worked for several companies installing doors in commercial buildings, schools and hospitals. In 2015 he and two others formed their own door company Door Logics. Some of the places around Atlanta he has serviced include venues for the Olympics, the Georgia Aquarium, the new Kennestone Emergency Center, the new Greystone Power Facility, Emory University Primate Center and Paulding Hospital. He had many interesting hobbies: fishing, camping, wood working, playing the guitar, plants especially Bonsai Trees, guns, darts and shooting pool. James is survived by his wife Nycole, his son Chase, his stepsons Lane Ramers and Tyler Hamlin, stepdaughter Alyssa McCurley and step grandson Eli McCurley, his Mother and stepfather Janet and Barry Walsh, his sister Kelley (Chris) Lockerman, his stepbrother Daniel Walsh, his stepsister Laura (Nathan) Coppersmith, nephews Miles, Josh and Noah Lockerman, step-nephews Levi Walsh and Toby Coppersmith and step-niece Lucy Coppersmith. James is preceded in death by his Father, Bill Miles, and his grandparents Roy and Hazel Pool, Ivan and Allene Miles.
