Patricia Sue Heinzle

Patricia Sue “Pat” Heinzle, age 76, a current resident of Rome, GA, passed away on Saturday, June 29, 2024.

Pat was born on January 2, 1948, in Perryton, TX to the late Russell & Hallie Mae Smith of Patterson, CA, but was a resident of Modesto, CA most of her life. She became a resident of the state of Georgia in February 2016.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Heinzle, son Michael Ray Hood, stepson Robert Heinzle, brother Donald Scroggins, sister Mary Scroggins and great grandson Dakota Hood.

Pat is survived by her children Cheryl (Roland) Poole and Greg (Melissa) Hood, stepson Steven (Ginger) Heinzle, 12 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, brother Rusty (Donna) Smith and sister Cookie Welch.

A celebration of life, officiated by Rev. Larry Davis, will be held on Sunday, July 14, 2024, at 3:00pm at Parkview Baptist Church (4 Wesley Dr Rome, GA 30165). The family will receive visitors in the 2:00pm hour.

The family would like to acknowledge and express heartfelt thanks to the staff and caregivers at 5th Avenue Healthcare in Rome, GA for the care that was given to Pat in her final 2 years of life. We are grateful for the care she received there.
