Willard Kenneth "Kenny" Farist

Willard Kenneth (Kenny) Farist, 77 of Rydal, GA passed away August 16, 2023.

He was born September 24, 1948 in Acworth, GA to the late Willard and Leila Farist.

Kenny was preceded in death by his parents Willard & Leila Croft Farist and grandparents Judson & Azzie Farist and Joseph & May Wright Croft.

Kenny is survived by his wife of 55 years, Carol Black Farist; 2 sons, Danny (Tonya) Farist of Hiram, GA and Matt (Angel) Farist of Kingston, GA.

Carol and Kenny had 6 grandchildren Jessica (Teddy) Wise, Jeremiah Jennings, Kimberly (Ben) Lash, Victoria (Caleb) Black, Trey Jennings and Tiffany Jennings; 7 great grandchildren, Jayden, Harper, Rhett, Ellie, Kiley, Skylan, Alice and number 8 due January 2024. One sister, Marie Farist Cody of Old Fort, TN and Tony & (Debbie) Farist of Ellijay, GA and several nieces and nephews.

Kenny was a faithful member of the Adairsville Church of God. He loved singing about his Lord and was at one time part of a gospel group.

Kenny worked at Lockheed Martin in Marietta, GA and retired after 33 years. He also worked 10 years at Atlantic Steel in Atlanta, GA.

He loved restoring old cars and he custom built several for other people. He also loved deer hunting.

A Memorial Service will be held at Adairsville Church of God, 297 Old Dixie Hwy, Adairsville, GA 30103 on September 16, 2023 at 11:00 AM.

Kenny will be laid to rest at Rolling Hills Cemetery Acworth, GA on Saturday, August 26, 2023 at 10:00 AM.
