Adele Dorenbosch passed away quietly at her Woodstock home on 05/13/20. She was known to friends and family as “Dell.” Dell was born to George and Violet (Casiraghi) Hunt on May 30, 1943 in New Rochelle, New York. After spending her childhood and young adulthood in New York and Connecticut, Dell relocated to the Atlanta area in 1973. A resident of Roswell for many years, she was a yoga instructor who would often hold yoga classes on the Roswell Square. While still continuing her pursuit of yoga, she became a trusted professional astrologer with numerous published articles, speaking engagements and a following of devoted clients. Additionally, she developed herself in the fields of organic gardening and macrobiotic cooking, offering counseling to many in both subjects. She had a considerable talent for growing vegetables, flowers and herbs, which led to her eventual interest in herbal medicine. Dell often supplied medicinal herbs and flower essences for natural healing to friends and clients. Dell was famous in the family for her amazing cooking skills and fabulous holiday meals. A player of the acoustic guitar, zither, performer of mime, avid collector and reader of unusual books, she was always expanding her horizons. A compassionate personality, Dell was a soft touch for homeless animals and she adopted and cared for many indoor and outdoor pets. She will be greatly missed by the love of her life for 40 years, Jay Finnerty, two daughters Jan (Jeff) Clarke and Karen (Alan) Mothner and her five grandchildren Andrew, Randall and Rebecca Clarke as well as Samuel and Annelies Mothner, not to mention her enumerable friends, clients and extended family. Donations can be made to Trees Atlanta in lieu of flowers.
