Allen Lee Dickens

January 1, 1943 — October 27, 2021

Mr. Allen Lee Dickens of 594 Willingham Springs Rd. entered peacefully into heaven on Wednesday, October 27th, 2021. He was reunited with his mother, Jeanette Howard Dickens and father, Murray Franklin Dickens. Allen was a true Thomastonian who loved his hometown immensely and like most, he loved Piggie Park. He spoke often of his Atwater and R.E. Lee school days and kept his childhood friends close to his heart. He worked in textile for 20 years and then worked as a security guard for 12 years. He had a newspaper route that he thoroughly enjoyed before he retired. He enjoyed working very much, but more than anything, he adored his family. He leaves behind his three daughters, Tina Loudermilk (Ron) of Thomaston, Jennifer Bales of Barnesville and Amanda Bunn of Meansville. He was the proud grandfather of Hannah Wainwright, Kaitlyn Piper, Caleb Ward, Rebecca Thrower, Sarah Ward, Kayla (Travis) McCullough, Sklyer Loudermilk and Dakota Loudermilk all of Thomaston. He was blessed with beautiful great-grandchildren that he loved very much. They include Daren, Georgia- Mae, Daxton, Isaiah, Will, Zack, Maizie, Bain, Harland, Sloane and two special littles who kept him company the last few years, Zaydah and Eli. Memorial Services will be held on Sunday, October 31st at 1 p.m. at The Rock Baptist Church in The Rock GA. The family will receive friends at 12:15 at the church.
