Allen Wayne Prater

Allen Wayne Prater, 72, of Cartersville, GA passed away on Saturday, May 14th, 2022. He was born February 10th, 1950 in Atlanta, GA and was the son of the late James and Hattie Mae Prater. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Hattie Mae Prater; brother, Steve Prater; sisters, Geraldine Lumpkin, Barbara Mayo and Rita Newton. He was a retired Fireman for the City of Atlanta were he work for over 20 years. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. He loved singing and playing his guitar in church and with family and friends. He is survived by his children, son, Anthony Prater & daughter-in-law Lori Prater, son, Tim Prater and son, Scott Prater & daughter-in-law Christa Prater; brothers, Bo Prater and Raymond Prater; sister, Eva Wiley; 10 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Graveside service will be held at Rolling Hills Memory Gardens, 4355 Hwy 92, Acworth, GA 30102 on Thursday May 19th, 2022 at 2:00 pm.
