Angela Joleen Gaffey Coon, “Angel”, 54 of Cartersville, Georgia passed away on December 3, 2024 after her courageous fight with cancer.

She was born April 24, 1970 in Fort Leavenworth, Kansas to Sharon Bundick and the late William James Gaffey.

She was preceded in death by her father, AKA Wild Bill. 

Angel’s biggest joy in life was her family, especially her boys and grandchildren. 

Angel was very proud of her work accomplishments. She had a tireless work ethic. She worked her way up to office manager at Pargon. Shortly before her diagnosis she went to work at Airgas in Kennesaw. They welcomed her with open arms and showered her with love and support during her illness.

She was an amazing mother, a loving grandma, a beautiful daughter, a fierce sister and devoted friend. She will be greatly missed by so many. Her smile and laughter will always be cherished memories. 

She is survived by her sons, Christopher Coon of Marshall, NC, Nicholas Coon of Weaverville, NC, Matthew Coon of Waynesville, NC and Shawn Jonathan of Cartersville, GA; grandchildren, Billy Coon, Ashley Coon, Millie Coon and Alivia Coon; mother, Sharon Bundick of Candler, NC; sisters, Chryssa Clayton of Candler, NC and Tonya Shelton of Charleston, SC and brother, William Michael Gaffey of Candler, NC.

There will be a celebration of life that will be held in Lake Lure, North Carolina in the spring of 2025. More details will be announced at a later date.
