Barbara D. Reed Greene

December 29, 1956 — February 18, 2021

Barbara (Barbie) D. Reed-Greene, age 64, of Powder Springs GA went to heaven on February 17th, 2021. She was born December 29th, 1056 in Washington DC and was the daughter of late Barbara and Leonard Reed. Barbie worked at Clarkdale elementary school for over 20 years with an almost perfect attendance record, never missing work unless it was an emergency. She loved attending concerts with her daughter Kendall, and “being a band mom”. She loved going to the beach with her friends, and was a big dog lover. You wouldn’t catch her without her toenails done or having tan skin, and you would never call her “ma’am” or you’d be in for a rude awakening! She was a mom to most, and could make anyone laugh. She took care of others without question, and would drop whatever she was doing to help someone. She will be truly missed, and the world has lost a precious gem.  Surviving family members are her daughter Kendall, her nephew Jon, her brother Kevin, and his wife Ellen, as well as their children, Kerry and Erin, along with other family members. You can’t forget her and her husband’s dog Gracie, as well as her two grand-pups Navi and Marley.  At this time, no service will be held due to COVID restrictions, but there will be a “celebration of life” to come in the near future, and information will be provided to the public as soon as a decision is made.  In lieu of flowers, her daughter is requesting monetary donations to cover costs for necessary endeavors. You can donate at https://gofund.me/3921adb1 or contact her daughter Kendall directly for other ways to donate.
