Barbara Ellen Van Hoff

It is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to Barbara. Our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend succumbed to her illnesses and passed away in her sleep at home.

Barbara is survived by her son, Michael (Misha), and her daughters, Carrie Ann Holmes (Derek) and Amy Van Hoff (Michael), her sister Linda Rossio (Joe), brother Marty Sherman (Sue), and he brothers-in-law Tom Van Hoff (Rachel), and Mark Van Hoff (Sharon).

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Michael, her mother and father, Rosemary and Marshal, sisters Roseanne and Carole, and her brother Tom.

Barbara, from Chicago and Michael, from Georgia, made an instant connection, working for the same company, in separate states. They were married on September 1, 1984, and built a life together for 40 years. She was a doting wife, mother of 3, grandmother "Ma" of 6: Jeremy (Kaylee), Caitlin (Aaron), Alex (Jordin), Jayce, Tristin, Gryphon, and great grandmother of 5: Aurora, Charlotte, Krimson, Teegan, Colton, and Michael.

Barbara worked at Walmart for the last 20 plus years of her life and made many friends there. She took pride in introducing her kids and bragging about them every time they came into the store.

She will be greatly missed!
