Carole Ann Brown

November 3, 1944 — November 5, 2019

Carole Brown, 75, of Canton, GA, a devoted mother and grandmother, passed away with her daughters by her side, on Nov 5, 2019. She is survived by three daughters: Kathy Seaver, and her husband, Mark, of Fairfield, CT; Bonnie Highlander and her husband, Grant, of Milton, GA; Mary Upchurch and her husband, Eddie, of Atlanta, GA; and her beloved dog, Rusty. She was a loving and proud Nonna of five grandchildren: Luke, Brett and Gigi Highlander, and Paige and Elle Seaver. She adored her fur grandkids: Tobey, Tito, Scarlett, Hank, and Gus. Carole was born on November 3, 1944. She enjoyed her childhood in West Hartford, CT and her lake house in Winsted, CT with her parents, John and Mary Burger and sister, Angela. Carole was able to travel often with her daughters throughout the years to Spain, Italy, Jamaica, Mexico, Canada and China. But her favorite vacation place will always be York and Ogunquit, Maine, where she vacationed over a span of 70 years with her parents, sister, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, children, grandchildren and many friends. All who were lucky enough to know Carole knew she had a huge heart for animals. She loved dogs and fostered many, and also volunteered at several local Atlanta animal shelters over the years. Carole was a wonderful cook and always had an open seat at her dinner table. She worked at Harry's Market, Whole Foods, and The Fresh Market. She quickly became a familiar face to many, while always having a kind word to say to all. The most precious time spent for Carole was with her children, her grandchildren, and, of course, all of her many, many friends. Anyone who knew Carole knows she had three daughters, but she was also a special "second" mother to Doreen Collin of Heath, Texas. She never met a stranger and loved everyone she met with the greatest compassion. She gave selflessly and lived her life with deep integrity and a strong faith in God. Our hearts are broken by the loss of our beloved Mom, but we are so blessed by the love she shared with us all during her time here on earth. Please join us for a Celebration of Life gathering in honor of our dear Mom on November 24, 2019 from 12pm-3pm at the indoor facility on Penfield Beach, Penfield Pavilion, 323 Fairfield Beach Rd, Fairfield CT 06824. If you have any special pictures of Carole that you would like to share in advance, please email them to kjseaver7@gmail.com. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made, in her honor, to Lifeline Animal Project in Atlanta, GA, from where she adopted Rusty, or to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network. With much love, gratitude and appreciation, Kathy, Bonnie and Mary
