Cavell Lavan Stinson was a caring son, brother, uncle, nephew and friend. He was born on August 16, 1966. He departed this earthly life suddenly on Saturday, December 27, 2020, at age 54. He received Christ at an early age under the leadership of Rev. Colston at St. James Missionary Baptist Church. After graduating in 1984 from Ensley highschool in Birmingham, Alabama, Cavell pursued his gift in culinary arts. Family and friends often enjoyed his backyard barbeques and his delicious foods and desserts. Cavell was also known for working in the yard, painting and minor household repairs. He was really a jack of all trades. Cavell kept people rolling and laughing by cracking jokes. He loved to tease his nieces and nephews. Cavell was predeceased by Hinton Stinson (2010), Emma Stinson (1993) and Brenda Stinson (1999). Cavell leaves to cherish two sisters, Catrice Stewart, Marietta, GA, Tamara Stinson Hegwood (Nick Hegwood), Dallas, TX, and one brother Decarlos Stinson, Cleveland, OH. He also leaves three nephews Reginald Stinson, Erlanger, KY, Manuel Stewart II, Marietta, GA, Carlton Paythress, Marietta, GA, two nieces Antoya Taylor Badejo (Bidemi Badejo), Atlanta, GA, Brennae Stinson, Dallas, TX, a grand niece, Ava Badejo and a host of beloved aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
