Christopher M. Manikowski, 59, of Kennesaw, Georgia passed away on July 21st, 2022. Chris was born in Los Angeles, California on December 29th, 1962, and was the beloved son of Theresa Manikowski and the late Paul R. Manikowski. He was preceded in death by his brother, Eric Manikowski in 2010. Chris attended Crestwood High School in Dunwoody, GA. Chris had many careers over his lifetime. He was a musician, a mortgage broker and owned his own business detailing cars. In more recent years, Chris was a valued member of the team at Lou Sobh Honda in Dunwoody, GA where he will be sorely missed by his friends and colleagues. Incredibly gifted, Chris was a guitar “god” to all who were lucky enough to hear him play over the years. He could build a musical bridge as easily as a horse barn (which he did). He was a talented songwriter and a gifted visual artist. Painfully complicated, Chris was magnetic, generous, and effortlessly charming. His smile shone a light on all who met him. He was also a friend and mentor to many in the AA community. Chris is survived by his children, Hannah Jane Manikowski, 25, of Los Angeles, CA, and Kylee Manikowski, 20, of Rhinebeck, NY as well as his mother, Theresa R. Manikowski, 88, of Rhinebeck, NY and his siblings, Paula Manikowski of New York, NY, Ray Manikowski and his wife, Theresa Hackett of New York, NY, Michael Manikowski and his wife, Ysela Manikowski of Lawrenceville, GA and Kathleen Manikowski of New York, NY and Rhinebeck, NY. Chris’ life will be memorialized in a private ceremony with family members in upstate New York. The Manikowski family asks that memorial contributions honoring Chris be made to the Suicide Prevention Hotline. 988 has been designated as the new three-digit dialing code that will route callers to the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline (now known as the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline) and is now active across the United States. https://988lifeline.org/donate/
