Clifford Ray Harmon

Clifford Ray Harmon, 84 of Tilly, Arkansas went to be with his Lord and Savior at his daughters home in Cherry Log, Georgia on August 6, 2023.

He was born August 3, 1939 in Nogo, Arkansas, township of Smyrna. He was the son of the late Connie Charles Harmon and the late Verlie Tressie Casto.

He is also preceded in death by his son, Charles Eugene Harmon; step-son, James Paul Smith and great-great grand daughter, Emersyn Faye Bogue.

He spent his younger years working the saw mill, followed by working at the school as a bus driver and janitor. But what he was most known for, was his outstanding ability to play instruments. Particularly the banjo, being his favorite, followed by the guitar, fiddle and harmonica. He loved listening to bluegrass/gospel music. Before his mind and body grew tired, he liked raising a big garden, cutting wood and his favorite thing to do was visit family, friends and all the people who frequented the Tilly and Witt Springs stores. He loved to make people laugh and always had a quick witted comment or joke. He was a God fearing man, who never met a stranger. He will be missed.

He is survived by his wife, Pauline Harmon of Tilly, Arkansas. Daughters; Raylene (Norm) Thompson of Cherry Log, Georgia and Renea (Danny) Saunier of Harrison, Arkansas. Son: Scotty Joe Harmon of Hector, Arkansas. Grandchildren: Heath Sanders of Dickson, Tennessee, Contessa Irvin of Indianapolis, Indiana. Josh Saunier of Harrison, Arkansas. Haley McCoy of Cherry Log, Georgia. Blake (Caroline) of Gilbert, Arkansas and Briley Saunier of Harrison, Arkansas. Great Grandchildren; Kaydence, Jasmine, Jenna, Jaylen, Michael, Serenity Grace, Brayden, Aria and Meadow. Great-great Grandchild, Cohen.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, August 19, 2023 at the Tilly Community Building from 1-6pm. There will be food, fellowship and music. Everyone is invited to bring their instruments and share a memory or story.
