Daryl Scott Martin

Daryl Scott Martin, 58, of Monroe, GA passed away on December 15, 2022 after a short courageous battle with cancer. He was surrounded by his family who will continue to honor his legacy by living their lives to the fullest.

Daryl was born July 17, 1964 in Miami, Florida to the late Delano & Diane F. Martin. He graduated from Towers High School in 1982. He went on to attend University of North Alabama in Tuscumbia, AL. Upon graduation he landed his first job as a sales representative for Duron Paints. He remained a devoted employee for more than 18 years. He most recently was employed with Baker Paints as a Project Estimator.

He is survived by his daughter, Samantha Martin; sisters, Denise Harris (Todd) of Winder, GA and Davina Rooks of Loganville, GA; nieces, Sierra Harris and Teighlor Rooks; several aunts and one uncle, Linda Hamrick of Cumming, GA, Nancy Bennett of Snellville, GA, Benny Poole (Carolyn) of Alice, TX and Darlene Bozard of Dacula, GA, as well as numerous cousins.

A celebration of life for Daryl will be held Saturday, January 28, 2023 at 2:00 PM at the Church at the Grove, 1050 Walnut Grove Pkwy, Walnut Grove, GA 30052. Family and friends are invited to gather one hour prior to the service to share fond memories and stories. The family of Mr. Martin requests that everyone wear their favorite sports team apparel to honor Daryl’s love of sports.
