David "Larry" Hartzog passed away on Tuesday, June 15th. He was born in Macon, Georgia on October 12, 1948, to Harvey Hartzog and Mildred Powers Hartzog. He is preceded in death by both parents. Larry was an Army veteran and spent time in Brussels and Germany during the Vietnam war. He was also proud of his work on interstates, bridges, and large plumbing jobs across Georgia and Tennessee. One of his most enjoyable jobs was working for the yellow cab company in Macon, Georgia. He was an avid collector of many things and he enjoyed making jewelry. Larry was also a lover of animals, especially the beloved dogs he owned over the years. Larry was a loving and devoted son, brother, father, grandfather, and friend. Larry is survived by his daughter, Rachael Collins, and her husband Colby of Clarksville, Tennessee. His grandchildren are Elijah Collins, Silas Collins, and Violet Collins. He is also survived by his brother, Mike Hartzog, a niece Michelle Hartzog and a great-nephew Connor Hartzog (all of Macon), and a close friend, Paula King, of Greenville, NC. Graveside service will be held at the VA veterans cemetery in Milledgeville, Georgia on Thursday, June 30th at 1:00 pm.
