Dennis Alan Mulkey

Dennis Alan Mulkey, a lifelong resident of Cartersville, Georgia, died on October 20th, 2022 at the age of 66 at home surrounded by loved ones.

Dennis was born December 13th, 1955 in Cartersville Georgia, to the late Claire and Donald Mulkey. Dennis grew up in the Cassville neighborhood, he was outgoing, funny, and reliable; Dennis liked to race motorcycles, played football, and loved spending time in nature. After graduating from Cass High School Dennis was employed as a manager with Georgia-Power, eventually retiring after over thirty years.

Dennis was a loving father, friend, coworker, and sibling but most importantly he was a loving P-Paw to his grandchildren. He loved the community, his family, and his friends. He enjoyed coaching children’s soccer, softball, and football, and was always willing to give a hand when needed.

Dennis was survived by his brothers William Dexter Mulkey and Barry Dwight Mulkey; Children Alan Mulkey, Stephanie Proctor and husband Josh Proctor; Grandchildren Jarret Ray, Taylor Proctor, Jaydon Ray; Niece and Nephew; Bari Mulkey-Crowder, Michael Mulkey.

In lieu of a traditional funeral and in accordance with Dennis’ wishes, the family will receive guests to honor him with a casual Celebration of Life.
