Mr. Douglas Savage Sr. died peacefully in the Veterans Hospital on 10/11/2023 in Atlanta GA at the age of 66.

Douglas Savage is survived by his Mother Pearl Savage of Matamoras, PA, Former Spouse Joanne Savage of Amelia Island FL, Son Douglas and wife Megan Savage, Daughter, Kierra Savage of Atlanta GA, Grandson Colin Savage of Atlanta GA, Brother, Ken Savage of Port Jarvis NY, Sister Sheryl Savage, and many beloved Nieces and Nephews. is preceded in death by Father, Ken Savage Sr, of Kinderhook NY.

Douglas Savage Sr. was born on May 11th 1957 in Philadelphia, PA to Ken and Pearl Savage. He graduated from Guilderland High school, then joined the Navy and he worked on the USS John King. Then worked for the New York Department of Motor Vehicles in the fraud department for many years.

Douglas’s children remember him as a kind, compassionate and loving father who encouraged them to pursue their goals.

Douglas was passionate about Fishing, Horse Racing, often indulged in baked goods and enjoyed casinos. He was a very social individual who loved to meet new people and could spark a conversation with anyone. Douglas was an excellent tinkerer and could fix almost anything.
