Edwin Cliff Castleberry

Edwin “Mickey” Cliff Castleberry of Emerson, GA passed away after a long battle with Parkinson's Disease on Thursday, Apr 20, 2023.

He was born August 4th, 1962 in Kennesaw, GA and was the son of Betty Mansfield Castleberry and the late Edwin Claude Castleberry.

Mickey had a servant's heart and worked as a paramedic for Bartow County EMS and Grady Memorial Hospital before beginning his career with Dekalb County Fire Rescue where he gave 27 years of his life serving as a firefighter and retiring at the rank of Captain. He thoroughly enjoyed his time spent with Dekalb County Fire Rescue and made many lasting friendships throughout his career.

Mickey is preceded in death by his father, Edwin Castleberry.

He is survived his mother, Betty Castleberry, sons Joshua (Tiffany) Castleberry and Jordan (Megan) Castleberry, grandson Jennings Castleberry.

A celebration of life gathering will be held at a later date and will be announced by his family.
