Efrain Colón

We are saddened to announce the passing of Efrain Colón, 75, of Kennesaw, Georgia who went to heaven peacefully on November 17, 2023 surrounded by his loved ones.

He was born May 26 1948 in Utuado, Puerto Rico and was the son of the late Pedro Colón-Rivera and Maria Betancourt-González.

Efrain was a hard working man throughout his life and spent many years coming to the U.S to work agriculture and provide for his family in Puerto Rico. He also enjoyed playing the guitar and harmonica, and was an avid domino player. Efrain was known to have a contagious smile that always lit up every room he entered and brightened every life he touched. Above all, his passion was his family and was devoted to them to the end.

Efrain will be greatly missed by all of whom interacted with him. From family and friends, to neighbors and acquaintances, there is no one who met him that won’t carry him in their hearts.

He leaves to cherish his memory: his beloved wife, Aurea Oquendo; son, Efrain “Yoel” Colón; daughter, Yolanda Colón; brothers, William Colón and Miguel Colón; sisters, Elba Colón and Gloria Colón; 7 nephews and 7 nieces; 9 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

A private service will be held Monday, November 20, 2023 at Leaf Cremation.
