Elizabeth D. Mince, 56, of Monroe, Georgia was called Home to be with our Lord on January 7, 2022. She was born April 18, 1965, in Pittsburgh, PA, and is the daughter of Timothy Doyle & Sue Owen. She is survived by her husband, Jim Mince; children: Amber DuPree, Shelby (Justin) Burch, and Jesse Mince; grandchildren, Madison Burch, Jase Burch, and Charlotte Burch; mother, Sue Owen; brother Tim (Bonnie) Doyle and so many nieces, nephews, and other people who She loved so dearly. Beth is preceded in death by her father, Timothy, and son, Jamie. Beth was a devoted wife to Jim, a loving mother to her three children, doting grandmother, caring daughter, thankful sister, admiring aunt, a great friend and so many other affectionate things to so many people. To have her in your life was a true blessing and Heaven gained a true Angel. Beth was an icon in the international logistics industry. Beth began her career in 1984 at McGregor Sea and Air Services. She also worked at BAX Global, Atlanta Customs Brokers, Hellman, and SBS Worldwide, but she spent the majority of her career at A.N. Deringer. Beth served for the IFFCHBA (now AIFBA) in many capacities, including President from 2005-2010. During her term, she was instrumental in soliciting for the Port of Atlanta to get designated status for Fish & Wildlife as well as helping to get the establishment of the Atlanta Perishables Center under APHIS’ Plant Protection and Quarantine (PPQ) program. She was well respected and willing to share her knowledge with anyone who wanted to learn. Her smile and laughter immediately lit up a room. She was a friend and mentor to so many, kind to everyone. Beth’s proudest accomplishment was her family, especially her children and grandchildren. Beth and Jim were married for 31 years. Although Beth was born in the north, she had the sweetest southern drawl and could make a single syllable word three. She would start almost every conversation with “honey”, “sugar”, or “sweetie” and would end every call with her heartfelt “I Love You”. There will be a Memorial Service for Beth on Friday, February 4, 2022, at Donehoo-Lewis Funeral Home in Hapeville, GA. Visitation is 3:00p-4:00p with the service immediately following at 4:00p. A reception will be held at Hammers (where Beth and Jim met) following the service.
