With profound sadness, we share the unexpected passing of Elvie Ray Johnson, Jr., of Sheffield, AL, on January 14, 2025, at the young age of 41. Our family is heartbroken by this overwhelming loss, and the pain of his absence will be felt intensely by those who loved him.
Elvie was born on February 07, 1983 in Sealy, TX, and from an early age, Elvie discovered a love for the great outdoors. His career as a dedicated superintendent in game fence construction was marked by a hands-on approach, showcasing his commitment and pride in leading each project with exceptional skill. Elvie's adventurous spirit was truly inspiring; he embraced every moment with an infectious zest for life and a playful sense of humor. Whether he was fishing, hunting, camping, or even swimming with alligators, Elvie truly lived life on his own terms. In a beautiful gesture of love and connection, he became an ordained minister in 2022, allowing him to officiate weddings for his friends and family -- a testament to his caring nature and commitment to those he cherished.
Elvie leaves behind his beloved daughter Khloe Jade and his bonus daughter's Kaydence Jolie and Kaylee Jayne who will be lovingly cared for by their devoted grandmother Connie Perlander. He is also survived by his loving siblings, Kerri Chanelle Buck and her husband John, Hollie Linnae Fogle and her husband Wade, and Garrett Michael Johnson and his wife Lina, along with his parents, Elvie Ray Johnson, Sr. and Cheryl Ann Stewart, and many cherished nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
A Celebration of Life will held in his hometown of Sealy, with details about the venue, date and time to be announced. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made to support his daughter's. Contributions can be made through the GoFundMe account: https://gofund.me/68a07623
The family truly appreciates the outpouring of love and support during this difficult time. Elvie Jr. will be deeply missed, but his spirit will forever live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.
