Gary Stephen Killian October 25, 1945 - July 23, 2021 Age 75 of Marietta, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 23, 2021. Born to parents Glen and Etta Killian on October 25, 1945, in Knoxville, Tennessee. Gary was preceded in death by his oldest son, Stephen Killian on June 21, 2019. Gary is survived by his wife, Julie Killian of 44 years, Son, Michael and daughter-in-law April Killian of Saint Augustine, Florida, daughter, Katie Killian, and her fiancé Jake Maresca of Woodstock, Son, Bobby Killian of Marietta, and brother Jerell and sister-in-law Rosie Killian of Cookeville, Tennessee. Gary was known for being extremely athletic and loved sports. He graduated from East Tennessee State University and worked in finance most of his life. Gary loved football, traveling, and being outdoors. While working in Bloomington, Minnesota, Gary met the love of his life, Julie, and married on October 29, 1976. Anyone that knew Gary, knew what a good man he was. He loved doing for and helping others, whether it be while in his profession or simply giving the shirt off his back to a stranger. He was very much a peoples person. His children knew him as the king of dad jokes. His favorite was the traditional, the child says: “I’m hungry/thirsty!” Dad says: “Hi hungry, I’m dad!” He had a great sense of humor. Gary was an amazing and loving husband and father who will forever be missed. Funeral mass will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, August 6, 2021, at The Catholic Church of St. Ann, Marietta, Ga.
