November 9, 1970 — April 26, 2024

George Alvin "AL" Adams, age 53, of Acworth, GA, crossed over to Valhalla on April 26, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.

Born November 9, 1970 in East Point, GA to Lillie Blevens Adams and George Albert Adams, AL was the loving husband of Tara L. Duffy-Adams and an amazing bonus dad to Veronica M. "Roni" Duffy (Kara Spear) and Xavier E. "Max" Duffy. In addition to his wife and children, Al is survived by his mother, Lillie B Adams , step-dad Gary Williams (Nancy), parents in-law Kate and Eddie Lape, brother Cary Williams (Kelly), sister in-law Beth Grindstaff, brother in-law Aaron Lape, his niece, Kaylee, nephews Sean Melton (Mandie), David Serra lll, Frankie Serra and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family. AL will also be greatly missed by his two "best men" Shane McPherson (Keli) and Rick Smith (Kim), by his long-time work family at Caliber Collision, and by a host of additional "bonus kiddos" to whom he opened his heart and home. He was a great dad to his two fur babies, Lady and Freya. He was preceded in death by brother in-law, Len Grindstaff.

AL was a proud American, and a private, humble man with an interesting and odd sense of humor. He enjoyed a variety of interests to include cooking, cars, and home improvement and watching shows of these subject. He was fascinated by Viking culture, dragons, steampunk and anything Sci-Fi related. He had a love for Coke-Cola decor, and anything to do with the "Rat Pack" especially Marylin Monroe. He collected swords from many cultures, and played the online games Skyrim and World of Warcraft, which is where he met his beloved wife. AL had great poker face, which he put on when he did things to make the people he cared about happy. He was a thoughtful, helpful and loving man, who accepted people for who they were. AL was also a great gift giver because secretly paid close attention to things people mentioned as being important to them. He never wanted or needed recognition for the good deeds and helpful things he did for others. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
