Grace Douglas Eitreim

Grace D. Eitreim passed away on February 16, 2023 at the age of 91. She was born on June 15, 1931 in Elizabethton, TN and was the daughter of Lois and Basil Gildersleeve. She was predeceased in death by her parents, her sister, Ann Hickman, and brother, Bud Gildersleeve, and her son Steven C. Macdonnell. She is survived by her husband Anthony C. Eitreim, her two daughters, Catherine A. Makison and L. Jane Macdonnell, and her son, J. Douglas Macdonnell. Her grandchildren, Danielle Kinney, Erika Gass, Melanie Whitbeck, and Clifton D. Macdonnell. Great grandchildren, Blakely Whitbeck, EmmyLou Gilbert, Ellis Gilbert, Jaycob Jones, and Josh Makison.

She loved teaching ballet and exercise and writing poetry. She formed the Ladies of Verse poetry club in Frederick, MD. She had many devoted students, poetry club members, and friends. She was active in local charities. She will be greatly missed.

A private family service will be held on Sunday March 26th. In lieu of flowers, make donations to your local food bank.
