Harrison Wilbanks, age 70, passed away Sunday, June 2, 2019. He was born on September 16, 1948, in Hall County to parents, Frank and Emmilee Wilbanks. Mr. Wilbanks operated the Chevron station on Tennessee Street in Cartersville. He sold produce and gas until he retired. Some people called him the watermelon and tomato man. He was a loving father, husband, brother, son, grandfather, and uncle. He is preceded in death by his parents and brothers, L.D. and David Wilbanks. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Jewel T. Wilbanks, sons, Terry Dale (Lori) Jenkins, Cody Smith, Brayden Wilbanks, and Matt McAbee; daughter, Daphne (Earl) McCreary, grandchildren, Hunter McCreary, Brandon Jenkins, Michael Somers, Kyle Somers, and Gretchen Ensign; brother, Clinton (Kathy) Wilbanks; sisters, Dot Tinsley, Joann (Ronald) Fagan, Sandra Holbrook, Susie McBrayer, and Vickie Wright, 5 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews; all special to him. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
