Hoyt Lamar Pruitt, Sr.

Hoyt Lamar Pruitt Sr., age 76, of Aragon, Georgia went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday 11/23/2021. Hoyt was born in Canton, Georgia and was the son of the late Mr. Paul Pruitt and Stella (Ingram) Pruitt and brother to Shirley (Pruitt) Waters. Hoyt was a lifelong truck driver which he truly enjoyed. Hoyt liked squirrel hunting, fishing, and playing cards. He was also a longtime member of Boiling Springs Primitive Baptist Church. Hoyt was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him as He waits to see us at Heaven’s Gate. Hoyt is survived by his Loving Wife Janice (Cagle) Pruitt, daughter Karen (Pruitt) Parks, son Richard Pruitt and wife Janet, daughter Tammy (Pruitt) Smith, and son Hoyt Pruitt Jr. And wife Kandy. He also leaves behind grandchildren Veronica (Kirby) Byrn, Eddie Kirby, Rick Pruitt, Courtney Pruitt, Nicki Pruitt, Danielle (Lowther) Jordan, Chase Garrett, Tristan Garrett and great grandchildren Walter Poland, Lucas Poland, Hunter Ridley and Raelan Jordan. Hoyt is also survived by brother-in-law Danny, sister-in-laws Joan, Renee, and Jeannie Sue. Along with several nieces and nephews. REST IN PEACE God called your name so gently that only you could hear the footsteps of the Angel drawing near... Softly from the shadows, there came a gentle call, you closed your eyes and went to sleep.... you quietly left us all.
