Hugh Daniel Geatens

On May 22, 2021 Mr. Hugh Daniel Geatens, 73, died peacefully at his home in Ranger, Georgia after a lengthy illness. Mr. Geatens was the son of the late Daniel John Peter Geatens and the late Helen Dale Proctor. He is survived by his wife, Patricia L. Geatens, his son and daughter-in-law, James David Geatens and Bailey Margaret Geatens, his brother, John David Geatens, and a sister and brother-in-law, Nancy and James Davis. In addition, Mr. Geatens is survived by his three grandsons, Ellis Dutch, Arlo Bodhi, and Wilder Wallace Geatens. Mr. Geatens was raised in DeKalb County, Georgia, and after graduating, joined the Army. After service he worked as a mechanic and later as a wholesale parts salesman for over forty years. He loved baseball and played on teams through his teens and later on church league teams. He enjoyed calligraphy, collecting baseball cards, fishing and camping. He loved the Lord, his friends and family, and especially his grandchildren. A Memorial Service at the Georgia Veterans National Cemetery will be announced at a later date.
