James Edward Powell

James Edward Powell, 76, of White, GA (Cherokee County) passed away on Monday, January 24, 2022. He was born on October 20, 1945 in Hall County, GA to the late Jack and Margaret Powell. He was also preceded in death by all 4 of his grandparents, Powell and White and his step-daughter, Alesha Barrett. He enjoyed fishing, bowling and singing in church. He worked on cars at dealerships for many years and also worked at other jobs. In later years he worked on small engines for friends and helped anyone who asked him. He will be greatly missed. Mr. Powell is survived by his wife, Dot Powell; sister, Vickie Powell; sons, Tony (Kristin) Powell of Lula, GA and Michael (Cheree) Powell of Texas; grandchildren, Lisa Thomas, Shana Seyboth, Austin Powell, Christian Powell and Kendrick Powell. Mr. Powell is being cremated and no services will be held. Thank you to Amedisys Hospice for their support during the last 3 months of his life.
