James Howard Cornwell

James Howard Cornwell, 83, of Acworth, GA passed away on November 19, 2020. He was born March 28, 1937 in Murphy, North Carolina and was the son of the late Julia Mae Green and Samuel Willard Cornwell. He was also preceeded in death by his children, Jason H. Cornwell and Jennifer D. Cornwell. He graduated from North Carolina State University with a degree in Engineering. He has accomplished many goals throughout his life. He enjoyed helping out his brother, Harold Cornwell, with the Wilderness Scouts of America. James was always designing different projects to keep him busy and his favorite saying to anything was, “It’s just common knowledge!” He was a loving son, brother, husband, father, and grandfather. Anyone who knew James was a person truly blessed by his humorous personality and witty remarks. He will be greatly missed by so many. Survivors include: his brother, Harold Cornwell, his sister, Wilma Hogsed, and her husband, Jimmy Hogsed, his daughter in-law, Stacie Cornwell, and his three grandchildren, Nicholas Griffith, Courtney Cornwell, and Kaleb Adkins. A number of nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive Memorial service will be held at a later date to be determined.
