Jeanette Adams Bradford

July 30, 1931 — June 6, 2020

Bradford, Jeanette Adams, age 88, passed away peacefully under hospice care on June 6, 2020. She was predeceased in death by her husband, Cooledge “Brad” Bradford who passed in 1984. She was loved and will be missed by her sister, Deana Tolbert of Lilburn, her brother Gary Adams (Diane) of Peachtree Corners, and cousins Linda Bagnal (Walt) of Warner Robins, Sarah Darby of Acworth and Rita Gosa of Marietta. She was a wonderful Aunt and loved by her nieces and nephews, Debbie Wheeler (David) of St Simons Island, Diane Tolbert of Flowery Branch, Brenda (Rob) Dennis of Lawrenceville, Tiffany (Paul) Farmer of Bethlehem, Keith Tolbert of Clermont, FL , Craig Tolbert (Bea) of Conyers, Tyler Adams of Ramsey, NJ and Matt Adams of Marietta. Her great-nieces and great-nephews held a special place in her heart and their visits always brought a smile to her face. She will be missed by Elizabeth Simpson, William Farmer, Emily and Robert Snipes and their children, Jason and Lily, Andrew and Erin Dennis, Rebecca Dennis, Brian and Sheila Dow and their children Leia and Abby, Neil Tolbert, and Blayne Tolbert and his daughter Haylee. She is survived by Beverly Bradford Shirley (Mark), Bradford Mark Shirley, Logan Trevor Shirley and Laci Victoria Shirley. She retired from General Motors, Doraville, as an Executive Secretary after 31 years of service and remained close friends with many of the people she worked with there. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Duluth and an active member of the Lamplighters for many years. During her final weeks, she received wonderful care from the staff at Discovery Village, the nurses at Northside Duluth Hospital and the loving nurses of Homestead Hospice. Her family is grateful that these caregivers could be with her when “shelter in place” restrictions prevented family visits. They kept her comfortable and at peace through her final days. She will be interred at Green Lawn Cemetery in Roswell after cremation by Leaf Cremation. Private grave site service will be held on June 13, 2020 and the family will honor her at a Celebration of Life in July. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a donation be made to any of the following organizations: First Baptist Church of Duluth (https://www.duluthbaptist.org/giving) St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital (https://www.stjude.org/donate/donate-to-st-jude.html) Alzheimer’s Association (https://act.alz.org/site/Donation)
