Jeffery Thomas Hobgood

Jeffery T "Jeff" Hobgood of Acworth passed away on February 3, 2023 at home surrounded by loved ones after a long battle with cancer.

Jeffery was born on June 30, 1965 in Marietta, GA. He attended North Cobb High School and was a respected member of the community. Jeffery was and avid music lover who brought joy to all those around him. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society in his name.

Jeffery is survived by his wife, Susan Hobgood; son, Joey Hobgood; brothers, Robert Garrett and Josh Prescott; mother, Pamela Prescott; and stepfather, Ken Prescott. Jeffery was preceded in death by his father, Emmett Hobgood; and both sets of Grandparents. A memorial service for Jeffery will be held on Thursday, February 9, 2023 at 4pm at Shady Grove Baptist Church (1654 Bells Ferry Rd, Marietta, GA 30066). Family and friends are invited to come and celebrate Jeffery's life. Expressions of condolences or other wishes can be sent to the family.
