Jerold Noel Smyer, Ii

Jerold N. Smyer, II, of Dallas, GA and long time resident of Lewisburg, Ohio, went to heaven on January 1, 2024.

He was born June 14, 1955 in Dayton, Ohio and was the son of the late Jerold N. Smyer and Ingé Lotte Kramer Smyer.

Jerold was preceded in death by his father, Jerold N. Smyer and his furry friend, Missy.

He was a proud boy scout and earned many badges. He was most proud of his lifeguard badge.

Mr. Smyer was a graduate of the class of 1973 Twin Valley North. He worked in the IT world since 1972. He received many awards for his work. He started out working at Sinclair College, NCR, Montgomery County and Fiserv.

He enjoyed riding four wheelers with his sons, canoeing and hiking.

Jerold will be greatly missed by his loving wife of 49 years, his children and his grandchildren.

Surviving family includes his wife, Lana; sons, Jared (Risa), Jonathan (Jessica); grandchildren, Shelby (Cody) Smyer, Jack Smyer, Raylee and Hope; mother, Inge Smyer; sister, Sonja (Bob) Minor; brothers, Tim Smyer and Gary (Becky) Smyer and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at a later date in Lewisburg, Ohio.
