John Caldwell Wetterhan

John Caldwell Wetterhan, Age 72, of Kennesaw Georgia passed away on Sunday, November 21. “Jack” as he was known by those close to him, was born on September 27, 1949, in Covington Kentucky and was the son of the late, Dorothy and John Wetterhan. He was preceded in death by his eldest brother, Phillip. As a graduate of Northern Kentucky University, he achieved many secondary degrees and certifications in the field of Commercial Insurance. Jack was an awarded tennis player and beloved member of Old Towne Tennis Club, USTA, and ALTA. He served at Northwest Christian Church as a mentor and Bible study leader. Jacks warm smile and loving demeanor is greatly missed by family and friends. Jack Wetterhan is survived by his loving wife, Verna, his two sons, Nathan and Andrew, and 7 grandchildren. He also has 7 surviving siblings: Katherine, Dorothy, Janet, Martha, Patti, Stephen, and Carl. Jack’s Celebration of Life will be held on December 5th at 2:00 PM. The service will be held at Northwest Christian Church, 3737 Dallas-Acworth Hwy NW. in Acworth, GA. The family invites guests to wear their favorite tennis-style sweatbands in honor of Jack’s active lifestyle and love for the game of tennis. The family is also asking that in lieu of flowers, a donation be made to the Northwest Christian Church Food Bank.
