John Dennis Pace of Marietta, Georgia, passed away peacefully in his home on April 23, 2024 at the age of 86. He was born in Hoboken, NewJersey to Peter Pace and Adele Smith Pace.
After graduation in 1955 from Lampeter-Strasburg High School in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, he enlisted in the United States Air Force. He retired after 20 years of loyal and dedicated service. He embarked on a second 20-year career in management and as a consultant in the restaurant industry. He continued working as a tax preparer for H&R Block until he retired in 2019.
John enjoyed cooking for family, driving his 1976 Cadillac Eldorado convertible, puffing cigars and attending yearly reunions with his military family.
John is survived by his wife and soulmate of 63 years, Agnes Pietsch Pace; his children, Jo-Ann Pace Bowers, Bruce Pace, Lorraine Harris, son-in-law Steve Harris and Diane Garrett; six grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren and his sister Joanne Pace McLees. He was preceded in death by his son, Michael Pace and granddaughter, Sammie Harris.
A private memorial for family is planned.
