We announce with saddened hearts the passing of our father, our Champion of Faith, Family, and Freedom, John Eagle Freedom, (80) aka Charles "Ed" Davis.
John was born in Harvey, Ill the son of John and Gladys Davis.
Preceded in death by his parents, and siblings Marie, Floyd, Ann, and Jean. His wife Leona J. Totta, stepson Dirk Downing, and grandsons Jason and Kevin Juszczyk.
John Graduated from Thornton Township High School with state championships in Chess and Gymnastics. John had achieved the highest honor of Eagle Scout in BSA, Brown Belt in Karate, Author, Publisher, Radio Host.
John was a diverse man of many passions, including gold mining, scuba diving with his dive partner Patty. Above all was his drive and pursuit to change the tree care industry and its preservation for future generations. John touched so many lives all over the United States with tree care, later in life added personal health, and wellness.
John's passion, drive and motivation will be missed by all who knew him. John will never be forgotten.

Great Grandchildren Marley, Nicholas, and Staley Juszczyk, Logan, Eli, Josiah, Mallary Ferrell, and Cain Stewart, Adalheida, Ivelina, Hannalore Gwyn, Kiara Murphy, and Skylar Miller. Whom John loved hearing of their active life in sports, and accolades in school. Always encouraged them to read books and become entrepreneurs.
John lived by the adage of "Choose a Job you love and you will never have to work another day in your life."
In lieu of flowers we are asking for contributions to the John Eagle Freedom Arboretum at Box 391, Garden City, Mo. 64747 to help continue the preservation of tree care and John's passion to do so.

Services will be held at the Bethel Assembly of God Church, 82 State Hwy F, Garden City, MO 64747 July 22nd, 2023 at 1pm. Casual attire. Dinner will be provided for friends and family afterwards, come celebrate Dad's life with us.
