John Patrick O'Hara

John Patrick O’Hara, age 59, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 25th, 2023, at his home in Canton, Georgia with his wife and daughters by his side. He was born October 11th, 1964, in Silver Creek, NY to Robert and Sandra (Sciarrino) O’Hara. He was a 1982 graduate of Lake Shore High School and married Victoria Tinsley on June 18th, 1988.

John worked as an Order Manager at Schneider Electric, where he put his 33 years of knowledge and experience working in switchgear to use. A self-taught guitarist for over 35 years, John was a talented musician, who brought music to the lives of his family and all who knew him. He had a love for shooting and collecting firearms, as well as hunting, and embraced his passion for cars, which he shared with his grandsons. John played hockey in his youth and raised his daughters to love the sport as much as he did.

He is survived by his wife, Victoria; his daughters, Nichole and Allison; his grandchildren, Noah, Liam, and Ruby-Lynn; his mother, Sandra; his siblings, Bob, Cathy and Julie, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family who loved him.

Family and friends are invited to share a meal in celebration of John’s life at Anchor Bar, 2708 Town Center Dr, Kennesaw, GA, 30144 from 12:00-2:00 on Tuesday, January 9th, 2023. We will be gathered at his favorite restaurant to reminisce, grieve, and support each other.
