Joseph (Joe) Firestine of Marietta, Ga, 91, died peacefully on February 21, 2024. He was born in Detroit, Michigan on July 15, 1932. He was the son of George and Ethel Firestine. He was the loving brother of Marion, George and Chuck.
He served as Corporal in the Military Police during the Korean War.
He moved to Georgia to be the Vice-President and General Manager of Pulte Homes of Georgia and then started his own Custom Home building company as JPF Corporation. He was also the President of the Georgia Home Builders Association. He also worked for Rose and Son Decorative Concrete Company.
He was pre-deceased by his son Joseph Firestine Jr. and survived by his wife of 70 years Sheilah Firestine, his sons Stephen Firestine, Scott Firestine and his wife Melanie. He also is survived by his cherished grandsons, Blair Firestine and his wife Lacey along with his great granddaughter Layla, Chandler Firestine, Avery Greer and his wife Bailey.
His love for Baseball and Sports with his sons and grandsons was the joy of his life. He was the Vice – President of the East Cobb Baseball organization.
Services will be held at Mt Bethel Methodist Church in Marietta, Ga on March 14th at 11:00 AM.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
