Joyce Crow Sizemore

Joyce Crow Sizemore, age 79 of Holly Springs, went home following a brief health challenge on Tuesday, January 21, 2025. 

Born on August 10, 1945, In Roswell, New Mexico, to Opel and Dewey Crow. Joyce spent her youth experiencing many different parts of the US, from New Mexico to Maine to California, before moving to Georgia, where she raised her three children, Chris, John, and Michaele, and her granddaughter, Joy. 

Joyce enjoyed many devoted years working for the US Forest Service, until her well-deserved retirement in 2007.

In her free time, Joyce found great joy in researching genealogy and sharing her discoveries with family and friends. She cherished every moment spent with her loved ones, whether it be sharing stories, cooking meals, or simply being a listening ear.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Opel Johnson and Dewey Crow, and granddaughter Joy Nishell Sizemore.

Joyce leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories. Her children, Chris Sizemore (Erin), John Sizemore (Michelle), and Michaele Priest; grandchildren, Ty (Ashton), Antonia (Jordan), Shelby, Olivia, Jennifer (Zane), Austin, Matthew, Courtney (Chris) and Dallas; and 13 great-grandchildren (Trinity, Shyanne, Gage, Isabella, Bentley, Sofiya, Luna, Blakely, Emberly, Erica, Axel, Stetson and Braven). Her family and friends will miss her dearly; her family was the light of her life.

A celebration of life will be announced at a later date, and friends and family are invited to share their favorite memories of Joyce. Though she may be gone, her love, spirit, and legacy will live on in the hearts of those she touched, leaving behind a lasting impact on all who knew her.
