Judy Ann Callaway Mcconnell

Judy Ann Callaway McConnell, 79 years, of Atlanta, GA passed on Dec. 24, 2021 in the comfort of her own home in Dekalb County. She was born March 10, 1942 in Breman, GA and was the daughter of the late George and Aileen Smith. She worked for many years in higher education first with the University System of Georgia and then with the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, Atlanta Campus. She was a master seamstress and loved to read and garden. She will be greatly missed by her husband, Bruce McConnell, daughter, Oona J Callaway, brother, James Jackson Smith and her service dog, Hopi. She is also survived and loved by her nieces, Mitzi Smith Moore and Lee Smith, granddaughters, Raven J Callaway Kidd and Meridian J Callaway Kidd. Her family is planning to celebrate her life with neighbors and friends in the summer of 2022 in an open house format.
