Julia Kathleen Gardner

January 12, 1984 — August 17, 2019

Julia Kathleen Gardner, 35, passed away suddenly at her home in Atlanta on August 17, 2019. Julia was born on January 12, 1984, in Knoxville, TN., and was preceded in death by her beloved Mimi and Papaw (Fred and Kathleen Wilkinson), who are surely happy to have their littlest Angel in their arms again. She is survived by her mother, Kay Gardner, and father William H. Cox; grandmother Gail Cox; by her brother, Aaron Gardner, sister-in-law Rebecca Gardner; sister Ashley Gardner, and brother Will Cox; aunts and uncles Gregg and Melissa Wilkinson; Joey and Louise Cox; cousins Emma and Zach; nieces and nephews Frankie, Katy, Nicholas, and Hanna. Julia's precious "Nugget", who decided to leave this earth when his 'mom' did, will be laid to rest with her. Her other "child", Mr. Little, has been adopted by a dear friend. Julia lived life by her own rules, and on her own terms. Her beaming smile and contagious laughter would light the sky, her enormous heart always open wide to friends and strangers alike. She was a shooting star who burned out much too soon, leaving grieving family and friends longing for her Light. To her many friends in Knoxville, Nashville, and Atlanta, who tried so hard to help her in her last months, her family sends our deepest and most heartfelt eternal gratitude. Please know that everyone did all it was within their earthly power to do. We love you, and miss you, sweet "Jules", and will see you again soon. Rest easy now, beautiful child of God. Final arrangements will be announced at a later date.
