Keith William Ogborn

Keith William Ogborn, 67 of Adairsville, GA lost his battle with COPD on December 9, 2021. Keith was born in Manhattan KS to Dr W. William and Mary Marjorie Ogborn on December 4, 1954. He attended schools in Hawley, MN and graduated from Girard High School in Girard, KS, where he was a standout multi-sport athlete. He enlisted in the Army in 1974 and served six years with the 82nd Airborne Division. Upon completion of his service he attended UNC Wilmington on the GI Bill and graduated with a degree in Business Administration. Keith worked for several companies as well as the UNCW Marine Sciences Department when he opted to open his own home improvement business; a business he successfully ran in the Charlotte NC and Cincinnati OH markets until poor health forced him into retirement. Keith enjoyed camping and surf fishing on the Outer Banks. He was an avid gardener and even in poor health kept up his gardens and his passion for canning his home produce. Keith was preceded in death by his father. He is survived by his mother of Mathews, NC, a brother Greg (Amy) of Kennesaw GA, a sister, Laurie of Grapevine TX, his son Michael of Queensland Australia, daughter Amanda of Minneola, FL and three grandchildren. As per his wishes he has been cremated and his remains will be spread on his beloved Outer Banks at a later date.
