Kenneth Adelbert Fritz Jr.

Kenneth Adelbert Fritz Jr. of Marietta, GA passed away peacefully on January 30, 2019. Born April 6, 1947 in Auburn, NY, he was the son of Mary Helen and Kenneth Adelbert Fritz Sr. Ken moved to Kennesaw, GA in 1979 while completing 25 years of service with IBM. He continued working in the technology industry until his retirement in 2007. Ken is survived by: three sons - Kenneth III of Kennesaw, GA, Timothy and his wife Kiyoko of Canton, GA and Bradley of Auburn, NY; one sister - Mary Jane and her husband Hudson Parks of Caneadea, NY; one grandson - Sean of Auburn, NY; long time partner Barbara Pipher of Acworth, GA; and several nieces and nephews. His brother Arthur preceded him in death on January 10, 2018. A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday February 5, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. at Rolling Hills Memory Gardens in Acworth, GA with Pastor Mike Maxwell officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. Graveside burial will follow the Memorial Service. Ken considered spending time with his family to be a very high priority and "Family Nights" were a long time tradition. He had a special place in his heart for Sophie, his Shih Tzu princess (2002 - 2016). Ken was an avid reader, loved orchids, and enjoyed both landscape and garden plants. He continued to enjoy computer technology and "gadgets", listening to his favorite music, and had a life long passion for trains.
