Larry Cecil Smith

Mr. Larry Cecil Smith, 76, of Acworth, GA passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 13, 2021. Larry was born on Monday, November 6th, 1944 in Marietta, GA and was son of the late Cleo Roosevelt and Beulah Emaline Pitts Smith. Larry was preceded in death by son, "Little" Larry Smith, brother, Billy Smith, sister, Joyce Goree, brother, Russell Smith, and companion, Tiein "Ann" McCurley. Larry was an Acworth, Georgia native of 43 years. He served in the US Army and is a Vietnam veteran. He was of Baptist faith and loved listening to Southern Gospel Music. He loved woodworking and building anything. He enjoyed camping and the outdoors. Larry was a loving father and grandfather. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him. Larry is survived by two brothers, Cleo R. Smith, Jr. and Donald "Wayne" Smith. Two sons, William "Billy" Smith (Tonya) and Robert "Bobby" Smith (Jennifer). One daughter, Angela Smith Green. Grandchildren, Billy Smith (Rita), Nick Smith (Rebecca), Bo Smith, Dawson Smith, Zane Smith, Tristan Green, Jordan Green, Jalye Green, and 3 Great-grandchildren. Our mother, Kay Smith, who helped comfort and care for Daddy during these difficult times, the entire McCurley Family, and many nieces, nephews, and extended family. Our family would like to express thanks to each and everyone for your thoughts and prayer along the way. A memorial service for Larry will be determined in the near future.
